• Question: Would you recommend your job to someone thAt enjoys IT? And did you do single, double or triple science in GCSEs?

      If you mean IT as in using computers, then definitely! I use computers quite a lot in my job when I’m not doing lab work, like trying to understand what the data I collect on my samples means. I also get to do some more creative work, like designing scientific posters or making presentations to help people understand my work and the results from it!

      At GCSE level, I did all three sciences. I’m really glad I did all three too, because quite a lot of things I learned during that time were useful and came up while I was studying at university!

    The future will be in the analysis of data & information by IT and Artificial Intelligence, Chemists have recently used AI to discover a new antibiotic.
    At GCSE, I did Chemistry & Physics (I dropped Biology at yr 9.)
