      Yes, they’re pretty energy-intensive. Heating/air conditioning, laundry services, use of computers and high-tech equipment, preparing and storing food, and use of medical equipment and medical labs are all examples of things that make hospitals need a lot of energy to run!

      Hospitals use highly energy intensive equipment and have to maintain specific conditions. All this means that they have to use a lot of energy and produce a lot of waste which requires further energy for treatment and disposal! in summary: Yes, hospitals are highly energy intensive.
